The game is over and Elena Dementieva, Russian tennis star, won the Sydney International finals over the much coveted Serena Williams at the Olympic tennis center. The score ended at 6-3 6-2.

The intense game rounded up to the advantage of the Russian star who showed quick and strong shots against her opponent. Serena Williams, on the other hand played, as powerful however some reports said her knee injury took some of her concentration away that led to not delivering some winning shots.

In spite of the turn out, Serena Williams commend Elena Dementieva for winning the title.
